I have a Masters degree in Counseling and Mental Health and I am a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (MFT 27901). I am a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor (RPTS S522). I have Secondary and Junior College Teaching Credentials in Mathematics and Psychology. I have been practicing psychotherapy for over 25 years.
Through the years, I have worked with individuals, couples and families in a variety of treatment settings, including private practice, domestic violence agency, child advocacy/adoption agency, government facility, and schools.
I have treated clients striving to increase their personal satisfaction and quality of life, to those struggling with grief/loss, to suicidal/homicidal thoughts and behaviors, and to abuse and trauma. Most have entered therapy to deal with grief/loss, depression, anxiety, fear, and life transitions.
I have presented numerous workshops helping administrators and teachers understand and work with difficult students and with staff conflicts.
I have worked with children and parents in the foster/adopt communities. I have facilitated parent groups for those struggling with the complications of adoption.
I have additional trainings in Trauma, Attachment, Grief/Loss, DBT, Internal Family Systems, and for the LGBTQIA+ population.
